The Countdown Continues

I have a doc appt today at 2:40..... wonder what she's gonna say.

I finally have the baby's clothes all put away. I cleaned out all of my clothes from one of the dressers and the closet and put them in storage bins that fit under the bed. The baby got one small drawer in the dresser and one big one and a little bit of space in the closet. I hung all the 0-3 month clothes up and the rest went in the dresser. All his itty bitty socks, burp towels, hats, mits, and bibs are in the little dresser drawer. I love little baby socks. That's all I bought him for Christmas. 2 pair of really fuzzy blue socks, and a 3 pair set... one pair was just blue but the others said, "I love Mommy" and "I love Daddy." His blankets and hooded towels and wash clothes are all in a box at the moment. I haven't made it THAT far yet. I feel like I've been washing and cleaning and hiding everything forever. I finally got to the point where the Christmas stuff was all put away and then we had the baby shower. Most of the stuff went to hubby's mom's house. I'm gonna have to go over there and get some of the essentials.
I bought thank you cards yesterday.... 40 of em. Turns out I only really need like 25. I thought more people showed up than that. Sure felt like it. Sure looked like it. Oh, well.... everything turned out great.
I had a dream last night that we were in the hospital and I was in the bed holding little one. We still didn't have a name, so I looked down at him and asked him what his name is...ya know...sorta just thinking out loud. Well.... HE REPLIED!! Casey Adelphos!! (we have already marked Casey off the list cuz neither one of us like it and I have no idea where the middle name came from) And while he was telling me his name, I looked in his mouth and he had all of his teeth!! And they weren't normal teeth, they were ALL POINTY!!! After I saw his teeth and heard the name, I looked up at hubby, told him I was sorry and I woke up. Weird.
Feeling better today than I have in a long time. The only problem I'm having is lack of activity from the baby. I'm getting a bit worried. His activity level has gone way down. I don't feel him move that much. The only times I can really feel him like I use to is when I lay down at night to go to sleep. Most times he will move a lot then, but last night he only moved a little bit. I'm gonna have to ask the doc about that. (Yeah, as soon as I typed that I get a good kick.... trying to make me out as a liar, I see) One night, though, he kicked so hard to the right that it almost made me roll over from my back to my side. Not kidding.
My swelling is getting worse..... sucks big time.
Lilly is getting more and more excited about her brother. I just can't wait. I was putting into thought of another kid, even though hubby says we are done. I do want a bigger family, but after some thought, I'm not so sure now. I can't see myself doing things with another girl that I do or have done with Lilly. That's our stuff, that's what WE do, that's for me and her. And I think I will feel the same way with this one. Which makes me super happy that's its a boy. Does any of that make sense? Ok, imagine 2 of your closest friends of that are either both girls or both guys. Do you or would you do the exact same thing with one that you do with the other. Lets say you and girl A have a favorite store to shop in and go there every time you are together...would you take girl B there also? You and girl A have a hilarious inside joke, do you share it with girl B? You and boy A both like this one particular band, do you take boy B to their concert? Maybe its just me....

Baby Shower

So.... its almost been a week since I posted anything. I'll try to make this short. Yep, still preggers. Nope, still no name. Baby shower was yesterday and it went well. Got just about everything I wanted. I was so excited over the baby monitors that hubby's aunt Merle got us, the car seat/stroller combo that his mom got us and the pack and play that his grandpa got-since the baby will be sleeping in the pack and play until we move. Still no word on the loan. I don't really expect to hear anything until next week, maybe, even though we turned all our stuff in 2 weeks ago. It was just too close to the holidays to really get an answer. All we have to do is wait now. Wait for the loan and wait for this baby to pop out.

Contractions are more often now. They only really hurt when I'm having one and he moves around or when I'm having one with a full bladder. I can tell when I'm having them and they cause more discomfort than anything else. There are certain ways that the baby moves that hurts too. Sometimes I swear it feels like he is digging his way out.

My bff got engaged!! I don't know if I posted that already or not, I'm just so happy for her.

Ok, just a little more on the baby shower. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. Probably 30 people showed up. Hubby's sister and his mom were in charge of it all. They made blue punch. It was made out of Sprite and blue Hawaiian punch juice stuff. When they added the ice cream it looked like clouds.. so cute. They put a rubber duckie in there with a fire hat and some other things to float around in there. One of the games was for the guests to guess how big around my belly was. They each cut off a piece of yarn they thought was the right size. I was actually a little offended by how big some of these people thought I was. I'm not big at all. I'm all baby and he's a tiny one. Lilly's teacher had come and she measured her piece out by wrapping it around herself. I told everyone that she was going to be the one that wins.... and she did. Another game was to guess what baby food is in the diaper. Lilly thought that one was gross. Another game was that no one could say the word BABY... well... except for me and Lilly. Everyone was given a safety pin with a little flag on it when they got there and if anyone caught them saying BABY, they took their pin. Whoever had the most pins at the end of the shower won a prize.

My bff got me this one shirt that I wore to the baby shower. It has little thought bubbles coming up from my belly and the saying at the top of the shirt is hilarious. The only one at the shower that didn't find this funny was my grandma.
When we opened the gifts, I let Lilly open all of them. I sat there and she handed me everything. She'd open a bag, hold up something for everyone to see and then hand it to me. I explained what some of the things were to her like the diaper genie. I was really surprised at all the stuff we got. We got so much clothes, really cute clothes. No one bought the same things, which is always a good thing. Ok, well... there were the same diapers, but those are always welcome. Hubby's mom did buy an outfit that I had bought months ago, but I think they are different sizes. We even got 2 snow suits! We got another walker. My neighbor had given me one so I'm not sure which one I'm going to use. The only things we didn't get that I wanted was a bouncy seat and a car seat cover. I really wanted the cover so I didn't have to fool with a blanket, but I think I'm just going to go get that. Also got one of those sling baby carrier things where I can be holding the baby without actually holding him. I really wanted that, but that was when I thought my maternity leave was going to be spent unpacking in out new house. I could carry him around with me and get stuff done around the house. The cake was huge and really pretty. It didn't say anything about the baby being a boy though. It did have some blue on it so I guess that counts. All in all, it was a good time. Lilly had fun, we got some much needed things even if we don't have room for it yet and hubby seeing all the baby stuff got him all excited again.

A fall and a few bruises later

5 days 'til Christmas
So I had a very eventful weekend.
Friday hubby called me when he got off work to tell me he was going hunting and he wouldn't be home when I got there. I asked him who was going to get my car in the driveway since there was so much snow and ice and my car always has problems and he said I'd be ok and I'd make it in just fine. So I pick Lilly up, we get some McDonalds and head home..........and I can't get in the driveway. After about 15 minutes of my backend hanging out in the road cuz I can't get in any further and spinning my tires so much I can smell the rubber, I finally go get one of my neighbors. She, her husband and his brother try to get my car in. They spin and slide. They push and shove. They shovel and clear, but my car will not go all the way in. They do get it in far enough where it is out of their way and out of the road. I told them they had to leave enough room so my other neighbor can make it in. I call her to tell her about the lack of space to get in, but she makes it just fine. My car just really sucks.
Saturday, I had so much planned. I was going to go pick up my brother to help me get hubby's gift cuz I can't lift it. I go down our many stairs to move my car out of the driveway. I had to make sure I could get out before I got Lilly dressed. So I moved it on the side road, got Lilly ready and woke up my brother telling him I was on my way. I took Lilly's hand, told her to watch the ice on the steps and then I fell. Thankfully I let go of Lilly as I went down so she didn't go with me. I have no idea how many stairs I fell down, but I fell all the way on my behind and not my belly. I didn't even bump my belly on anything. My right hand was full of bags and my purse, but I didn't let go of them. Halfway down the stairs I heard Lilly yell after me and I tried to stop, but there was nothing to get a hold of without turning myself and bumping my belly, so I just rode all the way down. The neighbor came out of her apartment and saw me at the bottom, asked if I was ok. I sat there a minute, saw Lilly at the top crying, got up and told her to carefully come to me. I got her and hugged her and then told the neighbor (Tiffany) that I felt ok. I asked Lilly if she fell any or if she got hurt and she didn't. She kept crying until I assured her that I was ok and the baby was fine. She finally calmed down, but was still upset. Tiffany ran and got dressed and took us to the hospital. The ER sent me directly up to triage. They let Lilly back even though she wasn't suppose to be. I called hubby's mom to come get Lilly. Tiffany stayed in the little waiting room watching Lilly until they were allowed in my room. Lilly got to hear her brothers heartbeat for the first time. They had me hooked up to a thing where they could constantly check his heartbeat and my contractions. Apparently I was having a lot of contractions, but I couldn't feel 'em. Tiffany kept saying, "That one was up to 20, how about that one? Oh, that one was up to 35, now its 40, do you feel it?" Nope. Not at all. I mean, I felt my tummy tighten, but none of it hurt. Sometimes I thought it was just the baby stretching out.
I tried to call hubby, but he was still out hunting and didn't have service and no one was in the cabin to answer the phone. My mother-in-law called hubby's sister and she called her husband to tell him. I fell at 9:30, got to the hospital at 10, hubby's mom got there at 11, hubby's brother in law knew at 10:30, but he didn't tell hubby 'til after noon. So hubby didn't get to show up to the hospital 'til 10 minutes before they let me out.
Ok, back up a bit. I'm so horrible at telling stories. Hubby's mom stayed about 2 hours and then she took Lilly to eat and then to her house. Hubby's sister was graduating at 3 and I was really trying to get out so I could go. Tiffany stayed with me 'til hubby showed up. Everything is fine though. I'm pretty bruised up and swollen from my left hip down to my ankle, but other than that, we are both just fine. I'm sore and stiff everywhere and its hard to move around, but I'm thankful that's all that's wrong. I can live with the bruises and the awkward limp. I'm just super thankful that the baby and Lilly are both ok. Everytime I try to recall everything that happened it makes me cry. Not because of what happened, but because it could have been a lot worse and because I feel so bad for Lilly having to see it happen. She was so worried.

Lilly's Christmas sing is tonight. I gotta remember to charge the camcorder up. I'll try to remember to take a pic of her outfit with my phone so you can see just how adorable she is.
We celebrate Christmas with Lilly on Friday!!!!! There's still so very much that needs to be done. I'm not done wrapping everything, well, I'm done with Lilly's stuff, hubby's gift is still not at our house, I haven't prepared anything to cook or bring in to work on Wednesday, I haven't really planned out exactly what we are doing and when. We have so many places to go and I want to try to do it all with Lilly but its hard cuz we only have her up 'til Friday night and I don't even know a time for the drop off yet either. Wow, what happened to the time?

Its Almost Christmas!

This is gonna be another long one.
Haven't gotten my decorations yet, it snowed and mom wouldn't come out and meet me. I can't load my car myself, I was in need of my brothers. Why have so many brothers if you can't use them from time to time? If the tote wasn't so heavy, I would have done it myself, but I'm afraid if I lift anything over 10 pounds, the baby is gonna pop out. Hubby said he would go today after work and pick it all up. I'm so excited to get the tree up.

I did get registered for my baby shower at a few places. I did it all online so it saved me the time of walking around the stores and driving to the stores. I registered at Sears, Walmart, and Target. There are some really cute things on there. Hubby's sister found this one bedroom suite for the baby that was all in fire trucks. So cute. I also discovered that I am a big fan of the blue and brown stripes/stars. Found a lot of things I didn't even know existed and a lot of things I didn't have with Lilly when she was a baby. One is a bottle warmer. Never knew of such a thing. I just did it the old fashioned way. One of the bottle warmers came with a pacifier sterilizer. How cool is that? I also found some wipe warmers. I wish I had that with Lilly. She wasn't born during the winter though, but it is still kinda cold in March when she was born.

We probably got about 2 inches of snow so far. We got a lot, then it melted, then it snowed some more.
Saturday, I took Lilly to the YMCA for breakfast with Santa. We ate pancakes, she got her picture, she did a craft and we left. Then, we went to the city for the big parade. It started at 10 and ended at 11:15. That was the first time I saw the city's parade. It was something. We parked at my work and walked a block to mall toward the beginning of the parade. She got cold, so we went in the mall and I got her some gloves and earmuffs before it all started. She got a lot of candy and had a lot of fun. But as the parade went on, the temperature kept dropping. She ended up with my jacket too by the end of it all and I let her keep it to walk back to the car. The first snowflake fell right as the last float went by. Talk about good timing!

After the parade we went to my grandma's to drop off my nephew's winter coat I bought him for Christmas. My uncle was there so I was going to have him go to my storage building with me, but I forgot my keys. Then I took her to K-Mart to pick out a toy for the birthday party on Sunday and the toy for the gift exchange at school...oh, and her Christmas dress. Its so cute. The dress she picked out is red velvet with white trim on the sleeves and on the bottom. It came with a little black belt too. Kinda like a santa dress. I'm gonna let her wear her snow boots with it since they are black.

Sunday, me and Lilly attempted to clean out her toys. I gave her these options~ Leave them out, put them under the bed in a storage tote, put them in the storage building to sort out later for yard sale or keep. I was trying to make room for the stuff she's getting on Christmas, but you can't even tell we did anything. I did get it better organized though and I think I may have made just enough room for the doll house. Then me, her and hubby took off to Walmart. We went in, got just a few things and went back out. My rear tire was flat on my car. So, we sat and waited for hubby's dad to show up with sealer and an air pump. We then went straight to the birthday part at the fire station community building. Instead of a cake, they make cupcakes that looked like ladybugs. The mom of the 2 year old made them. Hubby then left to finish working on my car, he said he pulled out two big pieces of metal out of the tire. Then some drama went down at the party with the family, but I won't put that out there. After the party, we head to hubby's parent's house just to hang out. They have their tree up and it looks real good.

My tire isn't flat today....yet. I forgot the air pump at the house. Tomorrow we should be able to decorate and put our tree up. I have no idea when I'm gonna go get hubby's last present, the back rack for his 4-wheeler. Its a gift that I'm gonna make from Santa, so I can't take Lilly with me, but I can't go get it until next pay day, which is on the 15th. I have Lilly that week and weekend. And I can't really go get it unless hubby's not gonna be home so I can just wrap it instead of trying to find a place for it to hide. I think I could just tell Lilly its from us and make something smaller from Santa so I can take her with me. I'm gonna have to probably take one of my brothers to carry it for me and get it up my steps.

My hopes of getting a house before Christmas is not gonna happen. Hubby hasn't made it to the bank yet to update his info. Even if he makes it this week, I don't see us getting the loan and getting everything settled so quickly. Yeah, it would be nice to celebrate Christmas in our new house, but as long as we have a bigger place before the baby comes, I'm ok. There's just no way we can have enough room for the 4 of us in that apartment. Its a tight squeeze as it is.

Had a doc appt Friday. Everything is fine. Blood pressure it 122/78. With Lilly my blood pressure was so high the doc's were worried. Maybe this low number has something to do with me not smoking this time. I told the doc about my pains and she said that he is head down now and that's why its hurting to walk. He has lodged himself right there between my hips. I can feel him elbow my hips every now and then. I didn't have any of this pain with Lilly, that's why I have been so worried. I need to stop comparing. But yes, he is head down. I think I am a week further along than the doc said. Everything is happening a week earlier and at 18 weeks he was a week heavier than he should have been. So, I'm taking things into my own hands and moving my due date from January 20 to January 13..... if I make it that long.

Out 'til Monday

So, I'm not going to be here to post anything tomorrow or Friday. I still might see how to go about posting from my phone. I need to figure that out before maternity leave anyway that way I can at least post pics of the baby....or try. I don't know how to go about doing that unless I directly email the picture to my blog. I don't know. I'll just have to figure it out.
No new news on my cousin just yet. Mom hasn't woken up to give me an update if she has one. I want to go see her today if she's still in the hospital, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to. I'll still try.
Lilly's heading off to her father's today. I took an extra long time to tell her bye this morning. It still breaks my heart every time she goes. I thought that having all this extra time with her would make our departures a little less teary eyed, but I think they are getting worse. I just can't believe that I'm not going to see her until Monday after I get off work. I wish I could have her all the time. It wouldn't be fair to him though, or to Lilly really. But I do stuff with her. I play with her and do crafts with her. We talk, we cook, we clean, we walk, we play, we run, we watch movies all cuddled on the couch, we do so much together. She really is my mini me. When I get her back after she's been down there, all she does is complain cuz daddy won't play with her and his gf made her eat something she didn't like.
Ok, while I'm sitting her crying, I'm going to change the subject to help dry my eyes out.
2 days 'til major shopping! I won some money off the radio yesterday, so that's going to help out a little. I just hope I can do it. My stomach has been hurting more the past 2 days. The stretchy, ripping feeling is getting worse and the baby keep moving around causing me a lot of pain. He's been pushing down a lot to. I don't know if he's stretching and that's just they way he chooses to stretch or what's going on, but it hurts and it brings me to my knees sometimes. I just hope that the pain will be bearable on Friday and I won't be too tired. I don't want to have to quit shopping in the middle of a good sale just cuz I'm exhausted. I'm hoping my body will hold out just long enough for me to get everything done. I am going to try to sneak in a little nap this year. In past years, we just stay up and head out, but with the extra strain on my body this year, I told my bff that I need to try to nap so see if that will help me make it through the day.
I don't get to see Lilly at all this year on Thanksgiving. Hell...I don't know if I get to see any of my blood family this year or not. I still have no clue what's really going on. I know we are going to hubby's sister's to eat, but I don't know what I'm doing after that. If I go visit some of my family, they would have already eaten and probably gone home...so I don't know where I should go and who I should visit. Everyone lives so far away from everyone one else. My brother above me and my brother under me both have to work. And if I do get to go see someone, I don't know if I'm going to get my nap in or not. I did promise my little brother that if he didn't get to eat somewhere after work, I'd bring him something. He's been dying for some apple pie.
So hopefully I will survive Friday. Oh, maybe I need to make a shirt that says "I survived Black Friday." LOL

Feels like I swallowed fire

Stupid pillow pets!! After a month of searching I finally found one. Not the one that Lilly was wanting though. She was wanting the unicorn, I found a hippo. Its purple, so I bought it thinking that I wouldn't get another chance. My boss called me an hour after I bought the hippo and she said she found the unicorn. So I guess I'm going to go tomorrow to get the unicorn and give it to my grandma to give to her. The Pillow Pet is the only thing she has asked for all year for Christmas. I'm going to slyly ask her to make sure its still the unicorn she wants.
So far for Christmas I have bought Lilly- two pair of Princess and the Frog socks, a bedazzler and some refills, a pair of pink plaid shoes, a shirt, two battery powered hamsters one with a ball one with a wheel, a bracelet, the hippo Pillow Pet, Princess and the Frog body wash and shampoo, candy corn flavored chapstick, and a few other things I forget. The only things left I know for sure that I'm going to get her is the second Chipmunk movie, a big Littlest Pet Shop playhouse, some more individual My Little Ponies, Squinkies, the Jenga game, the Guess Who game and some more clothes....oh and some earrings. I have been eyeballing some star shaped earrings for her. Oh, and a kids snuggie and giant inflatable bowling.
Hubby's gonna get a back rack for his 4-wheeler, a WVU hoodie, the Avatar movie and whatever Lilly picks out for him. Maybe a Wii game or a PS2 game. I think that's enough for him. The stupid rack costs $150. For his birthday I'm gonna get him either a Blue Ray player or a PS3. Thought about getting him an XBox 360, but we don't have internet. Oh, and I do have these binoculars picked out that also takes pictures that he can use for hunting.
The baby is doing weird things. He is now big enough to make and keep me uncomfortable. He lodged a foot right under my ribs last night and no matter what I did, I could not get comfortable. I can also sit or lay and watch him move now. Reminds me of a movie where the alien pops out of someone's stomach. Yeah... that's what it looks like is about to happen sometimes. I can't really describe the feeling. Its weird. Sometimes it hurts. Sometimes I don't even notice that he's moving around. He's making some big movements though. My stomach does 'the wave' sometimes. He's also getting the hiccups on a regular basis now.
Heartburn is getting worse with each passing day. No matter what I eat or don't eat, the heartburn comes and there's no getting rid of it. I just have to ride it out. Tums do no good.

Worries

Lilly had a cute project for school. The teacher sent home a picture of a turkey that she had to disguise so he wouldn't be eaten for Thanksgiving. She made him into a tree. We went outside and got some leaves and a couple pieces of bark and glued them to the turkey. It looks really cute. I bet she'll be the only tree turkey on that wall. I'll try to take a picture of it and post it on here tomorrow....if I remember. My memory isn't all that good these days.
I had so much energy yesterday. I guess I drained myself cuz I'm just so tired. Its not even 10:00 yet and I could seriously take a nap..... for a few hours. It just seems like the days fly by. I wake up and before I know it, I'm laying back down at night to go to sleep. What happened to the day? And when I get tired like this I kinda feel bad cuz I have so much that needs to get done. I feel like I'm neglecting my duties, but there really isn't much I can do about it. Caffeine does nothing. Exercise just makes me more tired. I hope this is all just pregnancy related tiredness and nothing permanent. I remember the days when I could function very well on only 3 or 4 hours of sleep. That wasn't really that long ago. Its like I turned into an 80 year old woman overnight. One day I have all this energy and can run around and get things done and only sleep for a little while, but the next day I need AT LEAST 8 hours of sleep and sometimes that's still not good enough. Yeah, I'm not sleeping well these days...but still-I'm getting more than 4 hours in.
Lilly had a nightmare last night about mosquitos. She said that the mosquito was on her then jumped to someone else. Scared her. Almost scared her as bad as the dream where a giraffe was chasing her.
The baby is way more active these days. It seems like he barely sleeps anymore. Or he is just tossing and turning that much in his sleep. He is up in my ribs sometimes and it hurts for me to breathe. I don't know if he's sticking a foot up there or what, but it just hurts so bad sometimes. I do still try to make sure he is awake and moving around 7 in the morning and again at 8 or so at night. Sometimes when I wake him up around 8 at night, he stays up for a really long time and I can't get to sleep. Sometimes he'll move just a certain way in the middle of the night and it'll wake me up cuz I'm just so uncomfortable. I don't remember going through all this with Lilly. Of course those were the days where I was only sleeping like 3 hours and didn't have time to feel her at night.
I also feel like I am constantly hungry. Right now, I'm hungry. Had a bagel for breakfast and it did nothing for me. I haven't really had any kind of cravings with this baby either. There for just a little bit I was craving McDonalds french fries and some sour cream and onion chips, but I don't really think that was so much a craving as a mere 'want.'
I keep trying to talk to hubby about when its time to have the baby. What's going to happen and all of my worries, but he keeps telling me we will worry about it when the time comes. No, that's not gonna work, buddy. We need to work out the kinks. I need to know what he wants me to do if I can't get a hold of him. We need to have a plan about what we are going to do with Lilly. There's just so many things that are worrying me and things we need to talk about and work out, but he just won't have any of it. Drives me crazy. He tells me not to worry about it, but how can I not worry when everything isn't figured out? Like this one- I'm planning on not working the week I'm due (whether or not I do is still really undecided) and what if I go into labor while he's at work and I'm at home? Should I wait for him to come home or do I try to drive to the hospital and meet him there?
Before I go any further with this..... my bright idea of being induced with this one like I was with Lilly is completely out of the question unless I switch doctors. I could switch to the one I wanted to begin with but couldn't cuz I didn't have insurance. Anyway...the midwife told me that they don't do voluntary induction. They don't even think about inducing until the woman is 41 weeks along unless there are complications and even then its 39 weeks. I was induced at 39 weeks with Lilly. So that kinda made me wanna cry. That was my plan for everything to be well planned out...to make sure all the important people were there....to make sure I wasn't stuck in the delivery room with his mom and/or my grandma..... to give us plenty of time to plan other things out... to figure out what to do with Lilly..... its all gone, shot down, to be no more. Now, if my blood pressure kicks up real bad, then that will call for induction at 39 weeks. I did have really bad blood pressure problems with Lilly toward the end, but not bad enough to cause too much concern. The docs just kept telling me to calm down and take it easy. Blood pressure as of right now is perfect. On Wednesday it was 128/71.
So yeah, wonderful. Just wonderful. Again, I keep trying to tell myself that there are women all over the world giving birth and everything works out just fine. I guess I've seen too many movies where things can go wrong. We'll forget my suitcase, or the car seat, or Lilly, or to call people, or something. My water will break in the middle of the night and we'll have to buy a new mattress. I'll be driving and go into labor but won't have any cell service to call for help. I know its all unlikely, but there's still a chance. I'm just a worry wart. Always have been. I always try to plan for the worse. Even if the worse doesn't happen, I can say I was prepared for it.

Its November

Been so busy.
Lilly's party was ok. There were things that kinda made me mad. I found out that her father didn't put anything on under her costume for trick or treat and the lace irritated her so bad she has a kind of rash on both hips. She didn't even wear a jacket on that night and it was really cold. For the party at school, he only sent her dress, which was like 2 sizes too big. Didn't send the bows, the basket or the shoes. He could have at least sent the bows of all things. She had fun though and that's all that matters. I took her home and spent an hour or two with her before I took her to him. I was nice enough to meet him halfway so he didn't have to go the whole way and deal with all the traffic and he wouldn't even talk to me. I was trying to tell him Lilly had fun, she already ate.....but he wouldn't stop talking on his phone long enough to even give me a head nod to acknowledge that he had heard me. But here's what she looked like on the night of trick or treat.
Sunday when he dropped her off, she didn't have her belt....or her jacket. WTF? He said, "I didn't send her jacket cuz I thought you still had her purple jacket she went to school in Friday since you didn't send her backpack. The purple jacket belongs to us at my house." I said, "No... she had it on when she got in your car on Friday. I didn't send her backpack cuz there was no point in it. Why would I send an empty backpack to your house? And now you send her out in the cold without any jacket. Where is her black jacket?" "Oh, its at our house. I thought you had a jacket." "Even if I had brought one with me, which I didn't, you still had her out in the cold without any sleeves. Next time you bring her back to me, I want her belt, her jacket and whatever else I send her in on Thursday." GRRRRRRR
Went bowling Saturday. Bad idea when your 6 months pregnant. I do not recommend it. By the second game I was cramping and it hurt to even stand. I did bowl a 148 my first game though. Its been a while since I bowled that good.
Wednesday doc appt went good. I didn't get sick or pass out from drinking that stuff. The doc said everything on my ultrasound looked good and my placenta has moved up and out of the way.
I had talked to hubby a bit about baby names.... He was giving Alexander David some serious thought, until his sister told him that's what her hubby's sister's kid's name is. Now we are back to square one.

I don't wanna go!

Another doc appt today. Today is the day I have to drink a bunch of crap to get my blood tested for diabetes. I have to drink the stuff and then wait an hour before they take my blood. Last time, I got sick and almost passed out. I don't even remember them taking my blood. I just remember yelling for the nurse. The doc did give me a pill to take to help me not get sick. I hope it helps. I'm already a bit sick today, but it could just be my nerves. I have an upset stomach and horrible hot flashes.
Lilly and hubby finally got to carve one pumpkin yesterday. She picked out a monster looking thing. There will probably be something a bit more difficult for the next one. The only thing she would really do is take the stuff out of the pumpkin. I got a few pics but its on my camcorder. She would grab a handful, say EW, and then sling it in the trash. Once she slung it all over me. Lilly didn't finish, I think she did a little over half and was done. She's such a girly girl when she wants to be. We were gonna keep the seeds again this year and roast 'em but at the last minute we decided against it. I wasn't a big fan of the roasted pumpkin seeds, but hubby seemed to like them. I'm not a big fan of anything pumpkin. I don't like pumpkin pie.
I can't believe that October is almost over!! What is going on with time? Its just flying by and I can't seem to catch it.
I don't know what the doc considered high protein...she told me to eat a high protein breakfast for today and then not eat anything else until after my appt. It sucks cuz today is the employee pot luck lunch. Everyone is brining something and we are ordering pizza. I get to stay at my desk and be sad about it. My boss makes this awesome chocolate cake. All the food is always so yummy...and you know it just pains a pregnant chick to know that there is tasty food next door and she can't touch it. I can smell the pizza they ordered. [sad face] Oh, back to the protein....I only got in about 12 grams of protein today. I don't know if that's enough or not. I ate 2 6 oz things of yogurt and a banana. I was gonna drink some milk too, but I ran out of time. Between trying to get my morning work done, the weekly morning meeting, and trying to start other things that need done...I ran out of breakfast time. 2 hours to go..... I tried to get my mom to come with me, but she can't. The only other person I have is my grandma and I'm sorry, but I don't want her there. If I do get sick and/or pass out she will freak and I can't do that to her.
I feel like I want to pass out now. I've been dizzy a lot these past couple of days.
My energy level is zero today. I even went to bed a little early last night. Of course I woke up like every 10 mins cuz hubby wasn't in bed with me. He was still up watching tv. I have no idea what time he came to bed. Haven't been sleeping well lately. Hubby's been out on fire calls until the wee hours of the morning, been having horrible dreams, and the baby keeps me up. I've heard that if you exercise more and be more active, you will have more energy. Well...I've tried that these past couple of days, and all I got was an upset stomach and a less sound sleep at night. Trick-or-treat is tomorrow!! Lilly's Halloween party is Friday. I was kinda hoping her father wouldn't want to come since he has her for trick or treat this year. I would like to go to her party and have that with her by myself. He gets the fun of taking her out all night tomorrow. I think I deserve just half an hour with her. But he is who he is. She's dressing as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz this year. That's what I wanted her to be last year when I had her, but she wanted to be a vampire. So this year she tells her father that she wants to be Dorothy. She told me she wants to be that cuz that's what I wanted her to be last time. I told her that she needs to be whatever she wants to be not what other people want her to be, but she said that she really does want to be Dorothy. Hopefully I'll get a few good pics in. Oh, and the Wizard of Oz is both of our favorite movie. We can watch it over and over again. I'm so glad that she loves that movie. I have someone to pass all my WOZ stuff down to now.
Ok...I guess I must go prepare myself now.

Court and baby pics

Ok, well...court was today. He made his week on/week off argument and the judge basically laughed at him. She set the custody like this~
He gets her Thursdays after school and keeps her until Mondays, takes her to school...on the second and fourth weekend of each month. I get her every week and the first and third weekends...and when there's a fifth weekend. I didn't really get what I wanted. I mean, I did get more time with her, but I was trying to make it where he didn't take her to school at all. This way I know she is well rested and her school work gets done. I told him when we got out that if he would have just went with what I suggested he would have ended up with more time. I was trying to not make him an every other weekend father, but since he wanted to fight me, that's what he is. The judge didn't say anything about the child support. I don't know how we are going to end up doing the holidays, the judge said that was up to us, but if it was her she would just let the holidays be. Like if a holiday fell on his time, it was solely his time and I wouldn't see her at all. The only problem is, trick-or-treat and Christmas all fall on his time...every year. Until Christmas is on Tuesday or Wednesday..but its always on the fourth week. Trick or treat here is always the Thursday closest to Halloween. This year, its this Thursday. I hope he won't be a jerk when it comes to the holidays. If he wants I will sacrifice one of my weekends during the months of the problem holidays just to have that day split like we have now. We'll see I guess. I gotta give him time to calm down before I go badgering him about the holidays that are a month away. This schedule is not going into effect until Veteran's Day. I guess that's when he'll pick her up on Thursday and bring her back on Monday.
Doc appt on Friday went great. The baby got the hiccups while they were trying to do his echo, so it took longer than usual. His growth is great, he weighs 2.1 pounds right now. His heart is great, there was no shadow this time. That was about all they could tell me. I gotta wait 'til Wednesday for my doctor's appt to know more. Here's some pics......

I told hubby that if he is still wanting to give him any family name, I must insist on it being his middle name, not his first. He said that Alexander doesn't sound right as a first name, I asked him to clarify what he meant cuz to me it sounds ok...but he couldn't. I think I got him thinking about his name for the middle name now. I had first told him absolutely no on his name...cuz its his name, his dad's name, one of his uncle's names, and a cousin... but now that I told him it can be the middle name, I think he is considering it. I told him it was my compromise. Make it the middle name instead of just saying NO since I didn't want to name the baby after anyone in either one of our families. I want him to have his own name...but I compromised.

Movin' baby

Went home early yesterday due to my cold, or sinuses. My head was stuffy and all, but I also had cold chills, so it could have been a cold. I didn't take my temp to see if I had a fever. I went home and tried to sleep, but I was just so uncomfortable.
Last night, I put on one of those breathe right strips and it didn't really do anything for a while. I did manage to slip into a light sleep. I kept getting woken up by hubby's snoring. Most nights I find his snoring cute and soothing, but last night it was kinda getting on my nerves. I was just so tired. About 2am something made a weird popping sound in my nose and it was like a river. I rushed to grab a tissue thinking my nose was bleeding, but it wasn't. I guess my sinuses were clearing up all at once. After the river, I could breathe again....a little too well. It was at the point where it was hurting to breathe. Like I could feel the air go up through my nose and touch my brain. I know that sounds odd...but that's what it felt like.
The baby has been making some weird movements during the night. They are like short, constant, rapid movements. I was wondering if unborn babies can have seizures or something. That's what his movements remind me of. Its not his regular kicking and rolling and its not hiccups, its like he is 'thrashing' around or shivering something. I'm worried about it. I'm definitely going to ask the doc about this. I don't know if the ultrasound technicians will know, but I'll ask them today.
He is awake more often these days. I don't really get a lot of down time. He is a very active baby. I'm curious to find out which way he is laying. My belly hurts a lot today...the stretching sensation. It sucks. I think he is just laying whichever way he can to be laying on my bladder.
He recognizes voices. He jumps and kicks when hubby or Lilly talk. Lilly likes to sing to him. She thinks if she sings into my belly button that he can hear her better. Hubby is just a loud talker, especially if he's talking about something he is excited about. He also bumps around when I play Metallica. No other music makes him move. I've tried just about everything. I've tried some orchestra music, all kinds of country, all kinds of pop, a little rap, heavy metal...but the only thing he responds to is Metallica. The baby's gonna come out with a tattoo on his upper arm. lol
I took a video yesterday of him bumping around. He was moving a lot...until I took out my camera, but isn't that how it always works out? I tried sending the video to my computer so I can post it on here, but my phone is being complicated. I guess the only videos I can send anywhere have to be 15 seconds or shorter. I've sent a 15 second video before. I can send longer ones via bluetooth, but I can't bluetooth it to my computer.
I'm going to have to experiment posting on here with my phone so I can update while on maternity leave.
Ultrasound in an hour!!!!!

Monday, October 18, 2010

The baby had hiccups or something last night around 2 am. He was moving in weird rapid motions and I couldn't sleep. I woke him up at 7 this morning. I'm trying to get him on a good schedule where everyone wins.
I'm so incredibly proud of hubby. He had every chance to go to a strip club Saturday with the bachelor party, but he didn't go. Granted he was a little sick, but he still didn't go..
Gotta peek at Lilly's grades today. They post them online where I can go look at them. Math-100% Reading- 97% Science-100% Social Studies-100%. So proud of her. We're gonna work on her weak spots to try to improve her reading before report cards go out. Her grades are great and I am so proud.
I feel great today. I remembered to take my vitamins last night after forgetting for about a week. Didn't sleep well, but I still feel great. I'm not really all that tired.
Lilly's school is having family night book fair tonight. They are even having dinner. We won't stay for dinner, but I'm gonna go get her some books. I'm not spending more than $50 on books there. The prices are outrageous! We'll probably only be able to get like 3 books. I was looking last Monday at some of the books and there was this one book that was wanting to get her, but then I looked at the price....$17 for like 10 pages with only a few words on each page. I'm gonna let her take $10 of her own money if she wants, and get a book or anything that she really wants. I've already told her that I'm not buying any books that have to do with tv, like iCarly, because she's already seen the episode that the book is about.... but with her $10 she can get anything, even if its something I said no to. I'm pretty sure she'll end up getting one of those books. The tv books are only $4 though.
The Y does this thing where if the kids are good they get "character bucks." Well...Lilly was racking them up, but when I went and looked today, her name was almost empty. She said they took 50 bucks away because she didn't do a project. I feel bad for her, but she's gotta learn. They use the character bucks for a store at the end of each month that the school age teachers put together. The kids can use their money to buy stuff. I have no idea what she got last month. She's got some time left to build up some more bucks.
Sometimes I wonder if people can see the baby kick and move around while I'm standing there talking to them. The kicks are good enough where I can see them, and I just wonder if other people can see them or are paying attention. I think it'll be funny to see. A girl just standing there trying to have a conversation with co-workers...and then out of the corner of your eye, her stomach jumps at you. You try not to stare at her stomach, but you can tell that its moving. HA
Oh...and Lilly's foot from her ice cream truck accident is much better. Its not even bruised.

I worry too much

Lilly saw her first ice cream truck yesterday. The music started playing and it was getting closer and closer. We were outside playing and she says, "What's that noise." I said, "I'm not going to tell you." By then it was too late and it was in sight. "Oh, Mommy!!!! An ice cream truck!!!" It was too cold for ice cream or I would have let her get some. We didn't see the truck at all during the summer, but as soon as it starts cooling down, there he is.
Hubby is working a lot of over time now. 12 hour shift without a day off for almost a month...is what he says. This week he's worked over, but I would think they would at least give him Sunday's off or something. We'll see I guess. Makes me sad that he's not home. I've been making plans to stay busy while he's working and Lilly's gone. Hanging out with my bff on Saturday. I think I'm just going to sleep today. Go home, make a samich and hop into bed with my book.
Got my info back on what the insurance will pay for. Everything is paid for except the bills from my ER visit. A total of $2,713.00. I thought about asking my grandparents for the money, but only if they will let me pay them back. $2,293 has already gone to collections so I need to get that paid off before we apply for a loan in December. I took money out of savings to pay the $420 bill. I used the little Christmas money I had to make a $200 payment on the $2,293 bill. If I was paying it by myself I could have it all paid off like a week before the baby is due, but if hubby helps out I can hopefully get it paid off before December.
I could probably pay it off sooner, but I gotta try to save up money to go Christmas shopping.
Lilly felt the baby kick again. Feels like he never sleeps anymore cuz he's always moving about. She was singing to him yesterday and I told her that he was dancing and I had her feel.
I have a doctor's appointment in 8 days. They were suppose to call me and let me know when my next ultrasound was, but they never did. I was suppose to go in to get the shadow they saw on his heart checked out and to see if my placenta moved up. Maybe they are just gonna do it all the same day. Ultrasound and doc visit.

Its only Tuesday?

The baby is moving like crazy right now. He was doing it last night too. As soon as I decided it was time to go to bed, he stated moving. Not little subtle kicks and bumps, no, he was in full swing doing gymnastics in my stomach. Hubby got to feel him right as he was calming down. Lilly still hasn't gotten to feel him. He never moves when she's around. Mostly he moves while I'm at work or she's asleep. Hopefully since I have her all weekend she will get a chance to feel her baby brother kick her hand.

I do wish we could agree on a name for him so we can stop calling him "him" or "the baby." I honestly don't feel like any name we have talked about is his. I do feel like Alexander is right for him in one way or another, first or middle. There are a lot of names that go well with Alexander, we just can't agree on any and none really "fit" him.

Just had a training session on our new phones. The training lasted 2 hours!! New phone system that we can access through our computers and such. Its gonna take some getting use to and a lot of exploring. The system isn't up and running completely yet. It will be by next week, but right now we can only call inside our department.

The guy that was doing the training was talking really loud at one point and woke up the baby. He started kicking the hell outta me. I almost had to get up and leave until he calmed down.

I feel like its Thursday. Its gonna be a long week.

like I ate a rock

Finally got to buy gender colored clothes. I found this one outfit, a sleeper, onesie, and a bib that was fire trucks and the Dalmatian. It was cute. I also got a blue onesie that said "Little Squirt," a white one that said, "Stud" with a picture of a muffin beside it, and another one I can't remember. I already bought some white and yellow stuff, but it was nice to buy blue or boy stuff.

Last night when I was trying to go to sleep, he starts kicking and moving like crazy. I think that he's just trying to find a comfy position. About ten minutes of him constantly moving about, he balls himself in a tight little ball.......... and it hurt so bad. I tried to massage him out of the ball, but he wasn't having any of it. Hubby finally gets home and I tell him to come here. He feels the big ball in my belly and starts freaking out. He tried to rub the baby, but nothing happens. I finally have him help me up and I walk around a bit. Baby finally stretches out. He had me in tears it hurt so bad.

Hubby starts training for his job today. Its gonna be hot this week, I hope he's not outside too much. There is a 90 day probationary period, ya know, like most jobs have..... but the only small problem is that we can't even try to get a loan for a house until those 90 days are over. Which means by the time the 90 days are up, the paper work goes through....we won't get a house until after the baby comes. I'm not complaining, I'm just worried. I think we are going to try with my bank where I work to see if they will be a bit more lenient with us and give us a loan sooner.
The good thing is, he's not too far from home. He's only like 10 minutes away on the interstate. And he's close to where his dad works, too. I still have no idea what exactly he will be doing. I don't think he does either, yet.

We've agreed on a middle name...Alexander. For a first name he wants Michael, I want Benjamin or Dominic and we both kind of like Zachary. That's about as far as we got. Mike, Ben, Nick, or Zach/Zack?

And for some reason I can no longer see who is following me. I noticed that I have a new follower, but I have no idea who you are. The people at work apparently blocked that section. So if you don't mind, leave me comment who you are. I like to follow back whoever follows me.

some pics of the baby

Hubby had a job interview yesterday........woohoo!!!! He said it all went really good and the interviewing guy said he's wanting to hire him now, but its not up to him. So I think it is safe to say that he has the job. If the interviewing guy liked him that much I'm sure he will only say good things about him to the people that do the actual hiring. He does have to wait 3 weeks for the drug test to come back. We are 100% sure that will come back ok so there's no worries there. 3 more weeks!!!! Full benefits. Great pay. Its not the job he was wanting or the job he applied for and it pays $5 less an hour, but its still a job and he is finally going to be making more than me. The only thing I don't like is the hours. He said that the guy said the boss might send him home at noon but want him to come back at 8 at night to finish the shift. He'd be working about 10 hour days, but every once in a while (I hope its not a constant thing) he will have to work half, go home, then go back and work the other half. Not a big fan of that, but we will manage.
Hubby finally got to feel the baby move last night. We were laying in bed and he was just kicking the hell out of me so I grabbed hubby's hand and had him feel. He was excited about it. It was the first time hubby has been around when the baby is moving around good enough to feel from the outside of my tummy. Hubby put his hand up there and the baby went to war with his hand. That's all it would kick/punch. It was so cute.

Lilly did great riding the bus yesterday. Yesterday was the first day she rode it in the morning and the evening. She likes it. She did forget to eat breakfast. She said that she liked her chocolate milk so much she forgot to eat. She might not have been hungry. I always feed her something on the way to YMCA. They eat there about an hour after I drop her off then they go to school where she can eat there if she wants. She didn't want to yesterday. The outfit she is wearing today is so adorable. She has on long shorts that come just below the kneee and a black and white tank top. I love that shirt. I wish I could find one in my size. Its white with black designes on it and I think there's even a bit of red thrown in there. So cute. If I remember I will get a picture of her when I pick her up.

Went to get her yesterday and I couldn't find her anywhere at the Y. I checked the gym, I checked her classroom, I checked the playground, I checked the bathroom..... I asked a teacher and she said, "Did you check the playground?" Yes, of course I did. "The one over the hill?" What? There's a playground over the hill. I had no idea. She showed me where it was. I didn't even know there was a backyard to this place. I knew about the little playground the preschoolers play on and the basketball court and the really small playground for the babies.... but over the hill was this huge playground. Full of jungle gyms, slides, ropes, poles, monkey bars, rock climbing, and that was just the side I could see. I wouldn't go down the hill. I was afraid I would fall. There was no path or sidewalk. Just a grassy hill. So that's nice to know. Now when I go pick her up there are a million places she could be. Playground, the hidden playground, class, gym..... wow....

Here's some pictures of my baby.....

Here's his cute little feet. One is bigger than the other cuz its closer to the ultrasound thingy.

Here's his head and a hand. You can see his face in there; the eyes, nose and mouth.

Its a ....... baby!!

I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. Went to the doc... they poked me with the ultrasound thingy for an hour and a half. They gotta check everything on the baby to make sure everything is growing right. Every bone and organ. Me and hubby were both almost asleep and the technician said, "I think you're having a boy." You should have seen hubby. His head jerked up real quick and his eyes got real big. I giggled at him. I told her to be 100% sure before she said anything else cuz I didn't want him to be all excited and then she changes her mind and its a girl. She went and got someone else and yes, they confirmed it...... We're having a boy!! Now, I guess its time to have a yard sale and sale all of Lilly's old clothes from when she was a baby. Or I can hold on to them and try to talk hubby into another kid............ later down the road of course.

So yes...

My baby's growing up

Instead of updating how my baby is growing, I figured I would just write. I'll update on the baby on Monday or something or double up next Thursday.

Taking tomorrow off to tend to Lilly. She is starting Kindergarten tomorrow and we both are very excited. We went shopping yesterday for some things she can take for snack time and whenever she takes her own lunch. I don't think either one of us are going to have any kind of problem in the morning saying our goodbyes. I mean, we've been doing it since she was a baby. I've always worked. She's always been in day care. Yes, she's growing up and is starting a big school, but I know she will be ok. We went Tuesday so she could meet her teacher and see the kids in her class. She already knows 5 of the kids. Anthony, Drew, Brayden, Shane and Abigail. I don't know Abigail or Drew. I got more papers to fill out. I need to make my first day of school list so I know we have everything ready to go. I still haven't even written her name on any of her things yet! I need to do that and finish filling out the papers and make her lunch and remember a few more things. I am nervous that I'm going to forget something. Tuesday night I couldn't sleep cuz I kept thinking of things I still needed to buy for her.

They finally finished painting a bridge here. I don't remember when they started, but it seems like it was taking forever. Well... they aren't quite done yet, but almost. There was a voting for the color of the bridge. The options were red, green, light blue, dark blue, or gray. I kept voting for red, cuz really... how many red bridges do you see? I'm always seeing green or blue or gray. Orange would have been nice and bright. So anyway, the dark blue won mostly cuz its the college colors. Some people were making it kinda like a rival thing. Green for Marshall and dark blue for WVU. I still voted for red. This bridge is a very important busy bridge. In order to get from town to the main shopping places you have to go over this bridge and taken the exit that's actually on the bridge. The exit everyone takes here at work to get to work is on that bridge. All of it was closed for the painting. As far as I know, the exits and on ramps are all open again. I don't know. I try not to take the interstate unless I have to or I'm in a super hurry or whatever. I just don't like the though of there being a wreck or something and I'm stuck sitting on the interstate for hours. And the thought of wrecking at 70 mph is a turn off also. I've wrecked, but my major ones all happened at less than 40 mph. I use to not have a problem with the interstate until one guy basically ran me off the road cuz he was going to miss his exit. Stupid people and high speeds do not mix very well. Anyways...here's the bridge....

The baby is moving A LOT now. It kinda feels like someone is trying to tickle me from the inside. It doesn't tickle, it just feels weird. Um.... whenever I go a long time without eating anything I get the worst heartburn. I guess that's baby's way of telling me to feed it. I use to get sick if I went too long without eating, but now baby has found the power of heartburn. I can handle the sick feeling, but not the heartburn. Its like slowly throwing up fire. I can't wait until Monday. I just know that day is going to go by so slow. I should have had my appointment early in the morning, but I made it at the end of the day so I could just leave work. Now I have to wait until 2:30 on Monday to find out if I'm having a Morgan or a Cameron. A Benjamin or an Asilia. A Rose or an Alexander. Lilly was trying to throw some names out last night and I told her we just need to wait and see what it is first. I think she has forgotten all about wanting to name the baby Octopus. Although, if it is a boy, I'm probably going to get a tattoo of an octopus, kinda like an inside joke while still representing him. I have a tattoo on my ankle of a blue Lily for my Lilly. Of course if its a girl her middle name will be Rose and I'll just get a rose, but a boy...what kind of tattoo do you get for a boy? I don't want to just put his name. I want a picture that represents him. So I figured an octopus would be the way I do it. I'd have a funny story behind that tattoo.

yep

I am making a goal right now. After this baby is born, I'm going to do everything I can to get back to the weight I was before Lilly. I know its a long shot, but I've gotta try. Hubby didn't know me when I was skinny. He first met me when I was about 7 months pregnant the last time......and a year later we started dating. So, that's my goal. I want him to see the skinny me. I miss the skinny me. My bff sent me a pic of me and her together and it kinda made me sad. That was my motivation. I'm trying not to gain very much weight with this baby. I gained so much with Lilly. It sucks a little that its going to be born in the middle of winter. It makes it hard to get outside and exercise. Hopefully if we have that house, we can put exercise equipment in the basement or something and I can just workout at home.
I still have all this energy, but I'm so tired. I could lay down and go to sleep any time of the day....if I could just stop long enough. Been going to bed later and regretting it in the morning, but a few hours later.... its like a drank a large cup of sugar. I'm still tired, but I just can't stop.
My boss just told me that I should come up with a few goals that I would like to achieve in the next year or some things I would like to learn. There's quite a bit of things actually. I don't really understand what my department does. I know what I do. I file, transfer some money around, maintain files for housing bonds, and just a couple more things. I work in the corporate trust department of a bank, by the way. We deal mainly with companies and bonds and such. I would like to learn more about the things we do with DTC, how to close a bond, how to open a bond issue, how to do account reviews, and more about bond maturities. I don't really know much of anything about any of those. My boss said that I was hired to take her job when she retires.... I may or may not be here to do that. I have a good job with good pay and good hours, but I want a job that I enjoy doing. If I take her place that would put me out there working with the public on a very professional level...and well...let's face it....I'm not a very professional person. I still have goals to go back to school to be a teacher. That's my dream job. High school Biology and Anatomy teacher. One day.......one day. So anyway...while I'm here, I'm going to do my best to learn and maybe learn to like this job and everything that comes with the territory.....but I doubt it.
Yesterday when I got home I laid down on my stomach to play with Lilly for a bit, but I couldn't stay in that position. I could feel where the baby is. The baby, the fluid, everything....its like I was laying on a rock. I felt like I was squishing the baby even though it didn't protest and throw a fit...I rolled over anyway. I have been feeling the baby move like crazy now. There's no question that little weird feeling I feel is the baby now. Its like its break dancing in there. The movements aren't often, but they are strong. I was reading a magazine yesterday about pregnancy and it said if I made a fist....that's how big the baby is right now. Wow! I wonder why I'm not really huge. Imagine something the size of your fist in your stomach.....
I do think I'm a bit more excited about this pregnancy than I am with Lilly. Don't get me wrong, I loved being pregnant with Lilly and enjoyed every second of it...but I am more aware of what's going on this time around. I'm actually keeping track of what's going on, I know what to expect....last time I just went with the flow. I didn't track the growth, I was young, I was single, I was scared......well......I'm still scared. Its all very scarey to me.
I have also decided that I'm getting my hair chopped off before this baby is born. Maybe a month or so before. I have long brown hair...its past my butt. I can't remember the last time I had it cut. Trimmed yes, cut....no. I'm gonna go for anything super short...maybe somewhere between my shoulders and mid-back.... that's a big deal for me. I don't remember my hair ever being that short. I just remember how much of a pain it was to deal with my hair in labor and with a new born and I'd rather not do that again. Maybe even get rid of my bangs. I've had the same 'do forever. I did change it up a bit in '07, I got red streaks and a new style. My hair was parted on the side and my bangs were swooshed off to the side too. It made me look 10 years older than I was.... that hairstyle only lasted maybe 5 months before I put it back to normal. If I had my old phone I could post a picture of it.
Its only Tuesday and I'm already ready for the weekend..........

Week 11

I have been way overly emotional lately. I've been crying more than usual. Mood swings have been kinda brutal too...but I have been trying to keep those to myself. Usually when I'm in the car alone is when I will let everything out and scream if I need to. I've just been giving the silent treatment at home when I feel my moods change quickly because I don't want to say something I don't mean to say. I know I didn't get to post week 10, but we are just going to move on. We're skipping that week. My alien is beginning to look a little more like a person.....kinda.

Your Pregnancy: Week 11~Pregnancy is about indulging and abstaining, all at once. You'll be saying both, "Oooh, another scoop of ice cream? Sure, make it two!" and "No wine. Just water for me, thanks." You have 29 weeks of this all-or-nothing living to go, so focus on the perks (whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a cherry, anyone?) and think how great all the stuff you can't do now will be when you can do it later.Wondering what's up with your body, your baby and your life this week? Read on ...

What You're Thinking: "I am not crazy for crying like a little girl during the cheerleading championship on ESPN. Those girls work hard!"

Your Body~Finally the excuse "Not tonight honey, I have a headache" is legit! Thanks to all the new and extreme hormones surging through your body, many women experience increased headaches while pregnant. And since you're limited in which pain relievers you can take while pregnant, getting rid of a nasty headache may be especially difficult. While acetaminophen (like Tylenol) is considered safe during pregnancy, other pain relievers like ibuprofen should be avoided. If you want to avoid taking any medication, there are a few alternative headache remedies, like cold compresses and exercise, that can help. Unfortunately, women who have a tendency to get migraines tend to get more of them during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor if you're having trouble coping.

Your Baby~All of your baby's vital organs are now formed and functioning, so the risk of defects decreases this week as your baby becomes less susceptible to outside influences. Phew! Other exciting developments include: Baby's ears are assuming their proper place this week and the fingernail and toenail beds are beginning to form. Your little "pumpkin head" really lives up to his nickname as his head is nearly as big as the rest of his body. While testes or ovaries are completely formed now, don't start decorating the nursery. You won't be able to see your baby's gender for a few more weeks yet.In the next nine weeks, your baby will increase 30 times in weight and almost triple in length. You might feel like you're increasing 30 times in weight at this point, too, but we can assure you're not—because, honey, you ain't seen nothin' yet! Your baby now weighs a third of an ounce, about the same as two small, Starbucks-sized packets of sugar, is about 2 inches long, the length of one of those sugar packets. Isn't that sweet?
